Tennis Elbow

Tennis elbow (epicondylitis) is a pain near the elbow caused by inflammation where a tendon from the forearm muscles attaches to the bone. The inflammation results from overuse of the muscle and is especially common from racquet games when the grip is faulty, Gardening and heavy lifting can also bring it on. Symptoms include pain and tenderness on the outside of the elbow and the back of the forearm.

Self Help: Rest the arm for a couple of weeks Apply an ice pack regulary (wrapped in cloth and only applied up tp 10 minutes at a time). Apply one or more magnets over the painful sites, relief often occus within half an hour. Magnetic patches can also be used to surround the painful area, or applied to acupuncture poiints over or near the site of pain or select the points which most closely relate to the point of discomfort.
